The Great American Wiener Dawg Weekend !! The Savannah Dachshund Club has developed an FULL DAY of Wiener Dawg & SMALL DOG Events - this fall for you to enjoy. Special Thanks to :

Oct 4, Saturday Wiener Dawg Races - 9 AM: Racing Dogs Registration: River Street
10 -12 AM Wiener Dawg Races River Street
($20 Race fee per dachshund racing) Free to attend/watch
1 -5 PM: The SMALL DOG FESTIVAL at Grayson Stadium
1:00 OPENING CEREMONIES: BLessing of the Animals
1-5 PM: SHOPPING BAZAAR
Fun for all- with Dance Troupes, SIngers, Performers and Booths by vendors will be open all day - From 1 PM -5 PM for shopping. (To Exhibit pet-related products/ services - Booths for 2 days are $100) - Come out and buy presents for you and your beloved small dog !!
1-5 PM PET CHARITY DISPLAY & ADOPTIONS:
NOTE: Local & National Pet Charities are invited to take a display table ($10 special NONPROFIT fee to help cover costs) to inform guests about their organizations.
1-5 PM THE SMALL DOG WORLD CUP Races !! SMALL DOG RACES
You’ve seen the Wieners race, now come out and see the PUGS, Chihuahuas, Papillons, Poodles, and all the other small breeds
($5 per person suggested donation -Free Parking)
3 PM: SMALL DOG COSTUME CONTEST / PARADE
4 PM CLOSING CEREMONIES: AWARDS PRESENTED

** NEWS FLASH ** The Fastest Dachshund in Savannah is
LONGFELLOW - the 3-legged wiener Dawg. At 1.40 time units - he bet the entire competition of 4-legged dawgs. Longfellow - had raced previously -and we are amazed & INSPIRED at the miracle of his running again and winning. Many thanks to everyone who donated prizes: From Georgia Lottery, The Waterfront Association, Alchemy, Ann Kelly paintings.
